This one-day workshop aims to be a "kick off event" to open up a new research strand towards intelligent engineering, management, and execution of business processes through the use of semantic web technology. The event will be organized in a manner that enables high quality discussions about the potential, strengths and drawbacks of semantic technologies for fulfilling the real needs of the business.

The major outcome should be a commonly agreed vision for Semantics-enabled business process management and a list of main challenges for its realization, as well as the establishment of a strong social network. Special attention will be given to sharing experience from ongoing research activities.
